Introducing "Furball"

We have a new puppy.

We haven't picked a name yet, but we've been calling him Furball. He's mostly fur, very little skeleton under there. We adopted him from a rescue shelter, who took him from an unethical breeder.

He stayed in the kitchen last night (we bought baby/puppy gates to keep him inside. He's not quite house-trained yet, but he's not too bad. He yelped a little last night (and more this morning). The foster home he was in had two cats and two other dogs, so he's probably a little bored with us.

Congrats! The cuteness comes through in the pics. Looks like that's going to be a big dog once it grows up. Any idea on the breed?

He's an Australian Shepherd - Border Collie cross.

Cool. Sounds like he's going to be needing a lot of play time outside.

The current leading name idea is "Badger".

Hehehe. Just so long as you don't end up getting another pet and naming it "Mushroom".
